Howl recently released a video for their track “Heavenless” off of the bands last full-length, Full of Hell. The video is pretty gnarly. Lots of blood, people getting stabbed in the eye and some killer tunes. I really enjoy the video as it shifts from an old (and I mean really old) fight scene and the band playing in a basement-type structure. That’s not the part that confuses me. What confused me was the fact that Andrea Black is not in the video whatsoever. Did she leave the band and I just didn’t know about it? Or did she just want nothing to do with this video? I mean Wikipedia still cites Andrea as guitarist, but Metal Archives doesn’t list her on the current line-up and Relapse Records shows a picture with a new dude, but no statement about Andrea. Can someone please enlighten me? Have I just been that out of touch with Howl’s music in the last few months? What the fuck?! Who is this new dude? FYI, this video is NSFW.
