I’d Stick It Up My Thrasher: VADER’s New Track Kills

I’ve been a fan of Vader for a long time. The Polish death metal band has impressed me more and more over the years and I have been very curious as to how their new album was going to sound. With the disappointment of some longstanding death metal bands lately, I was worried that death metal was taking a turn for the worst, but after listening to Vader’s new song “Come And See My Sacrifice” off of the forthcoming Welcome To The Morbid Reich, I am sure that this album will not disappoint. This sounds exactly like classic Vader. Love it. Check out the song below via Nuclear Blast. Welcome To The Morbid Reich comes out August 12th.

TURNTABLE.FM: An Addictive Way To Listen To Music With Friends

Not From My Session. Random Google Image.

Yesterday I was introduced to Turntable.fm by a few friends and fellow music fanatics. I logged in and entered the room that my amigos had designated, a room for extreme metal (mainly grindcore). At first, I didn’t get the hang of it, but after only a few moments, I was “spinning records” so to speak with my friends. Turntable.fm is somewhat like an interactive Pandora Radio. You pick the songs you want to play (either search their extensive library or upload your own songs), the order you want to play the songs and then the rotation begins. With a maximum of five DJs “spinning record” in order, you get to experience many styles and possibly even some music you didn’t know before.

Did I mention Turntable.fm is addictive? After getting my first few songs uploaded and I got into rotation, it was no time before I realized I had been jamming for over two hours. It’s a pretty killer site that I recommend everyone check out at least once. Join an already existing room or create your own! Invite your friends! Jam the fuck out! If you would like to read more about Turntable.fm, go here. Lemme know what you think.

I recently got into a band called Zombiefication based on their name alone. It actually took me a bit to find them because I was spelling the name wrong and I kept pulling up other bands. When I finally sat down and listened to it, what I got were continuous doses of Obituary-styled death metal. It’s pretty fantastic. So, yeah. I chose this as my morning jam because it’s sick. Enjoy.
