“Jailhouse” opens with a bit of feedback and a nice, chunky bass line. When the track takes off, it has a definite sludgy stoner vibe to it. There is a nice, grooving rock and roll vibe in here too. I hear a lot of influence from Cavity and even Black Cobra in this. I love this. The riffing is simple and very effective, the drumming is slow and steady and the vocals remind me a bit of Mike Williams. This is an all-around rocking good time.
“Booze Blues” opens very similar to the first track, feedback and a nice bass line. These two things never bring down a track to me. This track, again, contains very simple riffing that comes across exquisitely, punishing drumming at a slow pace and vicious vocals sitting alongside. This track has a fantastic groove to it. It’s a bit repetitive, but all in all this is fantastic. I get a nice Black Sabbath influence in this band. Sickness. [Continue Reading]
