Ron Jarzombek is a fucking insane person. I don’t understand how his mind can encode and decode such technical musicianship. Blotted Science’s Machinations of Dementia came out in 2007 and decimated all. That record took progressive metal to a new level. I think we talked about new Blotted Science earlier this year, but I could be wrong. Well, if you’re antsy for new Blotted, you can now hear a two minute sample of what is to come off of their new EP, The Animation of Entomology over at Ron Jarzombek’s Soundcloud page. I just finished listening to it, and personally I don’t think the guys have lost anything in the four years since they’ve put out material. They’ve also gained a new drummer, Obscura’s Hannes Grossmann. This new EP should be pretty fantastic, if I say so myself.
