WTF Moment of The Day: HEAVY METAL KINGS “Blood Meridian”

Okay, I like some rap, not as much as my cohort Josh, but I like some. I find it humorous when rap groups reference metal bands in their songs. For example, P.O.S. and Nostalgia showing love to Coverge in their videos. There is a rap group that I am not familiar with called Heavy Metal Kings, which features white rappers Ill Bill and Vinnie Paz, that was brought to my attention today. Landmine Marathon Tweeted that this group showed them love, so I had to check it out. As it turns out, these fellows are… Satanist rappers? I think not. This is too much of a gimmick and reminds me quite a bit of the Juggalo group Dark Lotus. There are numerous Satanic lyrics in the song as well as the following line:

“Born to run the Landmine Marathon, the Lamb of God that killed Kamelot.”

I’m not sure if this was clever or… Something else. Anyway, check out the video below and leave some feedback on what you think.

WHITE WIZZARD Have a New Single… (Not ELECTRIC WIZZARD)

But I’m not an White Wizzard fan, so I won’t go into great detail. I would much rather listen to Holy Grail, but I thought some of you out there might like to hear this song. It’s called “Starchild” and it comes off White Wizzard’s upcoming album Flying Tigers.

LUDICRA, We Bid You Adieu

It is a sad day that we bid our farewells to San Francisco’s Ludicra. It appears (according to the above Facebook post) that Ludicra have disbanded. It is unclear as to the reason why, but I guess these things sometimes fizzle out. The band had a good run, they have been putting out fantastic American black metal for thirteen years, their final album, The Tennant was released last year. I am not sure if the band will be releasing an official statement or if the above post is the limit of it. So, with a heavy heart, we say goodbye to Ludicra. I know many of the members have other bands that they can fall back on, but I suppose we will see how everything plays out. After the jump you can listen to a few choice tracks from the band.

ALL SHALL PERISH Released A New Music Video

All Shall Perish is a band I have always been rather unsure about. Some people like them, some people don’t. I am in the middle, I suppose because I don’t like or dislike them. Their older material I am not too fond of, but their last two albums, if they came on, I’m cool with it. Every member of the band is a competent musician and I’ll give them props for that, there are just parts in some of their songs that I’m not into. Like in this new video for the song “There Is Nothing Left,” I like the Black Dahlia Murder elements but I dislike the gang vocals and yell-sing chorus. So, yeah. I’m not sure. The video itself is nothing new, the band playing in the dark. It’s been done before, but I guess it’s alright. Check out the video below and leave some feedback on how you feel about All Shall Perish. This Is Where It Ends was released on July 29th via Nuclear Blast Records.

Morning Jams: Corpsepaint And Music Videos

Good morning. How are we this morning? Well, this morning I had to break myself from listening to this and chose to make an actual metal playlist. If Josh had anything to do with this it would be nothing but R. Kelly, Bone Thugs and Riskay. So, be grateful you get any metal out of him. Anyway, this morning’s playlist is all songs by bands who wear corpsepaint and make real music videos. We got some Behemoth, Dimmu Borgir, Keep of Kalessin and Satyricon. Good shit. Enjoy.
