Instrumental rock outfit, Grails, put out the phenomenal Deep Politics last year that ended up being number five on my Top 25 of 2011 list. Early this year I found out that one half of Grails, Alex Hall and Emil Amos, would be putting out a record under the moniker Lilacs & Champagne. After hearing the lead off single from the album, “Everywhere, Everyone”, I was very intrigued by what I heard and was anxious to hear more. I pre-ordered the album, received it in the mail, and gave it a few spins. If you want to hear about one of the best albums I have heard so far this year then you should keep reading.
