3 random bands I found for your listening pleasure. Check them out!

This band absolutely crushes in every since of the word. Morality Crisis’ sound runs the gamut of Isis-esque post-metal, sludge, crust punk, hardcore and progressive metal. What you have here is a band who isn’t afraid to blend genres and experiment. Listen to their stellar North EP below.

For fans of Cave In, Isis, East of the Wall and The Ocean.

KarnÆ describe themselves as Italian “deathcore” but I do not get a deathcore vibe out of them at all. What they have in store for you in are fast paced grooves, brutal chugs and catchy melodies. They fall in the more metalcore category in my opinion. Check out their Evil is a Necessity EP below and be on the look out for these guys.

For fans of Zao, August Burns Red, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive.

The Best Pessimist is a Ukrainian post-rock/ambient project that create extremely gorgeous and melancholic sound scapes. The music that composer Sergey Lunev creates with The Best Pessimist is relaxing and thought provoking. Check out his most recent album, Love Is, below.

For fans of Explosions in the Sky, Helios and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

RIP Adam “MCA” Yauch

Yesterday, the music world lost one of its finest. Adam “MCA” Yauch, co-founder of the highly influential and popular Beastie Boys died at the age of 47 after a three year bout with cancer. Whether you like them or not, Beastie Boys left a huge mark on the hip-hop world and became one of the most talented and respected groups around and we have MCA to thank for that. I’ve been listening to the Beastie Boys since I was little so it pains me to hear such devastating news. My heart goes out to all of Adam’s friends and family. MCA, you will be missed dearly.
