I never went through a screamo phase, however there are bands who were lumped into said category that I enjoyed like Finch and Thursday as well as a few others. I was pleased when I came across a band recently called Gatherer who actually play an impressive, pleasing form of screamo in 2012.

I thought good screamo was long dead, but as it turns out, it’s just been hiding in New Jersey. Gatherer remind me of a mix between Touche Amore and Thursday, which is never a bad thing. These guys recently released a new music video for the track “Wedding Bells” which comes off of their new EP Postcards.
