Straight To The Point: A Quick Review Of TEETHING’s “Self-Titled Seven Inch”

I get a dozen e-mails a day from bands wanting me to check out their albums. I try to get to as many of these albums as I can, but with so many submissions, it takes me a while to get around to them. I recently came across a band called Teething from Madrid, Spain. I went to the latest 7” and hit play. I immediately started convulsing and panicking. I started rocking back and forth and then I started screaming at the top of my lungs. I paused the track, took a deep breath and talked myself into it. I had my brain fucked within the first forty-five seconds of the 7”s first track “Hell Song” (not to be confused with the Sum41 track of the same name).

I thought I had heard all this band had to offer by the time I got to track two, but I was fucking wrong. I got a straight shot of grindcrust to the skull and it happened over and over and over. Every track on Teething’s self-titled 7” is heavier than the next and it’s a fucking crushing album. Most of the grindy crust I have listened to lately has been on the darker, more misanthropic side. This band is just punishing all around. So if you need to get your skull dented, I definitely recommend you check out Teething’s self-titled release below and download it. It’s the fucking truth.
