Daughters were a band that were hard to categorize, especially with the release of their sophomore effort Hell Songs. The combination of dizzying guitar acrobatics, intense cacophonies, lurching tempos and Alexis Marshall’s drunken, tortured Elvis Presley-esque nihilistic rants made Daughters a band in a class all their own. Brian Cook (bassist of Russian Circles, ex-Botch) realized this as well. Brian took to the web and posted up the first chapter of his unfinished biography on the band in question. It is a fantastic read and I hope that Brian is able to finish this project in the future. Read the article HERE.
