THE FACELESS Post New Song Snippet

The Faceless are an anomaly. While containing similar elements between releases, each release nevertheless remains unique in standing. Starting as an interesting meld of technical death metal, prog, jazz, and deathcore, the band grasped my attention and quickly took hold of my ears with their debut, Akeldama. While seemingly held back by some minor chains of the contemporary sound at the time with their debut, The Faceless came into their own with their sophomore release, Planetary Duality, having solidified their status as one of the tech death god greats. Planetary Duality saw the band in their own light, containing mind-melting technical and progressive guitars, blaring vocals, and precise yet flowing drum work that rivaled and perhaps surpassed many of their contemporaries. Come August 14th, it seems The Faceless will have yet more titles attributed to their myriad of genre descriptions. Running for less than a minute, the new sample contains vocals reminiscent of Opeth, riffs reminiscent of Extol yet a sound that can only be described as The Faceless. Be sure to pre-order the album on CD, on vinyl, or digital here, here, and here respectively. Also, be sure to catch the band on any of the remaining Summer Slaughter dates below.
