I pride myself on my love for powerviolence. I love the raw, rampant energy bursting through walls of noise and aggression. I recently was directed towards the new album by a band called Gets Worse from the UK. I talked previously about this band in my Demo Reel, but I had damn-near forgotten about them. When I sat down and listened to the self-titled release from these UK grinders, my mind was instantly blown. Pulverizing drumming, blistering riffs, tons of feedback and filth and vicious vocals flying out at me from my speakers. It’s not all fast and furious, however. This band is also covered in sludgy filth much like fellow UK band Witch Cult. Anyway, this is killer so check it out. Fucking do it! Gets Worse is punishing, kiddos.
