I wasn’t crazy about Cymbals Eat Guitars until I saw them open for Cursive earlier this year and I became a fan. Their saccharine sound which is composed of elements of shoegaze, indie rock, and some complex “mathy” moments is something to be marveled at. They have released a new song entitled “Hawk Highway” that showcases bits and pieces of the musical elements above. If you’re not into “indie” rock I understand if you don’t care for this (or half of the groups I post about). But you should at least give it a shot.
