If you have played Max Payne 3 then you know that noise/electronic pop band HEALTH composed the soundtrack. Their song “Tears” from said soundtrack was recently given the music video treatment. Well, a short film rather. The short clip below, directed by David Altobelli and Jeff Desom, shows a post apocalyptic setting overrun with zombie toddlers set to the music of HEALTH! It’s a little disturbing but extremely awesome. Check it out below!
How to Destroy Angels (Nine Inch Nails, etc) have premiered a new music video for their new song “Keep It Together”. The track in question will be featured on the band’s upcoming An Omen EP, which is due out on November 13th. The video is just a simple in-studio performance video. There is nothing special about it. Hurricane Sandy has been a real bitch. Lives have been lost, communities have been destroyed and to top it all off, Brooklyn’s Translator Audio and The South Sound studios have been wiped out. The studio where classic albums from Daughters, Pelican, Cave In, East of the Wall, Unsane and many others have been recorded has been destroyed. A statement regarding the event was issued by producer and co-owner Andrew Schneider:
Clinging to the Trees of a Forest Fire’s Ethan McCarthy’s devastating doom project, Primitive Man, has unleashed a new track on their Bandcamp page. We’ve already heard the nine minute towering death machine that is “Antietam”, now Primitive Man is offering a free stream of “Rags”. “Rags” is an earth shattering, bleak wall of crushing dissonance and pure sonic heaviness. Primitive Man’s debut full length, Scorn, is due out on January 5th. Stream “Rags” below and check out the album’s track listing.
Listening to Behold the Arctopus is a one of a kind experience in my opinion. Behold’s music is like having one of those necromorphs from Dead Space burrow into your skull and rattle your brain to mush while simultaneously being sucked into a high speed tornado of broken glass. It’s a whirlwind of mind boggling musicianship and awe inspiring composition. It almost sounds like what one would assume the mind of a paranoid schizoid would hear inside their mind on a regular basis. It’s been five years since the group’s last record, Skullgrid, and you will be ecstatic to find out that Behold the Arctopus is as warped as ever on Horrorscension.
