Recently I posted my review of the new General Surgery album Like An Every Flying Limb and before that, Kippit posted the title track from said album and now you can stream the second track from Like An Every Flying Limb below. This track is one of my favorites on this album. It’s so good that it’s ridiculous. Madness, grind and gore is what is in store for you. If you’re down with that, stream “Ejected Viscous Mucus” after the jump. It rules. End transmission. Continue reading
Last month Lane posted about the reissue of Horseback and Locrian‘s collaborative effort and, for all of you blackened droning madness types, you’ll be happy to know that this amazing album is now streaming and you can hear it below. I haven’t been into Horseback for very long and I’ve been into Locrian even less than that but this is fantastic. Both bands are great in their own respects, but together they are something new, something haunting. New Dominions will be released on Tuesday and you can get your taste after the jump. Enjoy, I know I have. Continue reading
I’m not sure why I haven’t posted about this fucking beast yet. It was released last week and it’s so fucking good it’s ridiculous. Meek Is Murder is one of the gnarliest, uncategorizable bands out there and I love them. The viciousness rubs you in all the right ways. If you have yet to embrace the almighty…. might that is Meek Is Murder, definitely pick up Into The Sun Where It Falls Off The Sky as well as Algorithms and Mosquito Eater. Basically, get all of this bands material and listen to nothing else. Do it. Take in all of the awesomeness of Meek‘s new EP here.
Obviously one of the highly anticipated records of the year, Deftones’ Koi No Yokan comes out in just a couple of weeks (November 13th). You can now get a little taste of the record over at the French branch of Amazon. These samples sound very promising and I cannot wait until I hear the entire thing. Check it out now you goons!
In a recent interview with Metal Injection, Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman stated that the band will enter the studio this coming Monday (November 5th) to begin tracking their new album with producer Steve Evetts. The band are planning to have their new record out sometime in April. In other Weinman related activities, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, the project featuring Weinman and members of Mars Volta, Mastodon and Jane’s Addiction, are planning to have their debut release out in January or February. On his collaboration with Wyclef Jean, Weinman stated that he has created a beat for a track and is also working on a guitar solo for it. Damn, Weinman likes to stay busy.
The most important thing to take from this post is that NEW DILLINGER IS ON THE WAY.
