Clutch frontman and possessor of mystical beard, Neil Fallon, recently jammed with some students at the Silver Spring School of Rock on December 4th. He and the young musicians rocked out to the Clutch song “What Would a Wookie Do?”, which comes from their compilation record Pitchfork & Lost Needles. Footage of the performance can be viewed below.

Torche dropped a brand spankin’ new 7″ on us today. What a nice surprise! The Harmonslaught 7″ hit stores today through Amnesian Records and can be purchased online at this location. The 7″ features the title track on side A and a song called “Rock N’ Roll Mantasy” as the B-Side. The band is currently streaming the crushing, sludgy “Harmonslaught” online, which turns out to be the new song they have been performing live. Do yourself a favor and stream that bad boy below.

Since early this year we have informed you that Swiss grinders Mumakil had started recording a new album. We also told you that the album was already postponed for a bit due to an issue involving drummer Seb’s arm. Well, the band has made another turn, as Seb announced today that he announced that they have already replaced Seb with Kevin Foley (of Benighted). You can read the first statement, concerning Seb’s departure, after the jump. As for the state of the forthcoming Mumakil release? Apparently it is “on the right track,” whatever that means. As recently posted, the legendary death metal horde known as Convulse have reunited after almost two decades and are preparing the release of a new album (hopefully next year) and in January they will be releasing a 7″ titled Inner Evil which will contain two new songs. This EP is fantastic and if you, for some weird, fucked up reason, don’t believe me, then may I suggest you head on over to MetalSluts and stream the title track from this new 7″.
