The London based instrumental progressive metal project, Miroist, is currently streaming a bonus track that was included with the T-Shirt/EP bundle that Miroist offered. For those who did not purchase it can stream the track in all it’s awesomeness below. The track is called “Build your cities on the slopes of Vesuvius!” and it absolutely rips. Completely jarring grooves and rhythmically complex electric guitar monstrosities occupy the duration of this track. You can stream that bad boy below as well as the debut EP, The Pledge, below.

The group have already released your first taste of the new record with the unbelievably catchy “Like a Mouse”. You can check out that track and the album’s official track listing below.
HOAX (aka the scary hardcore band with multiple self-titled EPs and the singer likes to hit himself in the head with microphones) have recently debuted a video for the track “Fantasy” off of their third and most recent self-titled EP out now on Painkiller Records. If you’ve ever sat down and listened to 80’s thrash beasts Holy Terror, you’ll know that vocalist Keith Deen had a great voice and he could spit a mouthful at you at 100 miles per hour. He was a fantastic frontman that a lot of metalheads forgot about. Holy Terror only released two albums, 1987’s Terror And Submission and, one of my favorite thrash albums of all time, 1988’s Mind Wars.
Unfortunately it was recently announced that Keith Deen has passed away. Deen had been fighting cancer since September and it seems that the disease got the best of him. Holy Terror has broken up and reformed many times since their original split in 1989. Although the band has gotten back together, no albums were recorded after Mind Wars. After the jump you can read a statement from a personal friend of Keith Deen about the man himself. Rest in peace, Keith. Thrash beyond death. Continue reading →
