It’s finally here! The title track from Clutch’s upcoming new record, Earth Rocker, has arrived online over at Brooklyn Vegan along with a nice interview with guitarist Tim Sult. “Earth Rocker” is full of massive psychedelic grooves that call back to the heavier days of Clutch. Not to mention it’s ridiculously catchy. Check out this awesome track below.
Earth Rocker will be released on March 19th.
Experimental three piece, Tera Melos, recently performed a new song for Cock and Bull TV and of course footage is available. The song in question has been dubbed “Slimed” by the band and it is what you would come to expect out of these guys and then some. The song is extremely trippy, sporadic and quirky as well. It’s six minute long and is full of psychedelic effects and reversed riffs. It’s just wacky damn it! The song will appear on the band’s yet to be named new record. Check out the performance below.
On top of the previously announced splits this far into the year, 2013 will also see the release of a new split 7″ between Savannah’s own Black Tusk and Dead Yet?. If you are at all familiar with Black Tusk, then you know that their brand of sludge metal sounds good throughout their catalog. I say good, but of course I mean great. They are an amazing band and I have been aching for new tunes from them since Set The Dial came out. And then there is Dead Yet?, who I am fairly new to. From the first track I listened to this band, I was hooked. I am super stoked to see these guys paired with Black Tusk for this split. Continue reading
Touché Amoré, who today released their split album with Pianos Become The Teeth, have also released a new music video for their song “Gravity, Metaphorically” which appears on the split. This track is pretty great. I like Touché Amoré and I really enjoyed their last album Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me. “Gravity, Metaphorically” doesn’t sound like a continuation of Parting The Sea… however, which I like. It seems like this band is constantly reinventing themselves. Continue reading
I don’t know about you people, but I love KEN Mode. Their music is mesmerizing and memorable and it comes across in such a raw and aggressive way that it’s hard to turn away. The band released their last album in March of 2011 and I have been itching for new KEN Mode. Well, the Canadian heavy-hitters must have heard my plea, because they have announced a slew of details concerning their new album and their recent label signing! Continue reading
We’ve been posting about bands who are planning split releases quite a bit over the last week. With Young And In The Way‘s forthcoming splits with Withdrawal and Moral Void and Twitching Tongues‘ upcoming split with Wisdom In Chains to two that I have learned about today. The first one I’m extremely excited for is the upcoming split 7″ between The Atlas Moth and Wolvhammer for Record Store Day 2013. Continue reading
