Hey, folks. I decided I wanted to do a Podcast, so today I bring you The Aftermathcast! I’ve wanted to do a Podcast for a while now and when I finally settled on a concept, I got it recorded and here it is. The Aftermathcast is mostly music and a bit of talking. Considering the theme of The Aftermathcast is hardcore, grindcore and powerviolence, I run through a few news items pertaining to hardcore and the lot. When it comes to the music, all of the bands I play on this Podcast have released albums which are available to download for free.
Click on the listen to and/or download The Aftermathcast. You can also check out the track list down there and links to download the band’s albums. Enjoy and be sure to leave some feedback. Maybe I’ll do more of these. Continue reading →
Bauda may not ring a bell with most of you reading this but after you have finished listening to them, you will not forget them. Bauda is a three piece progressive outfit based in Chile whose new record, Euphoria…of Flesh, Men and the Great Escape, is a memorable fifty-nine minute excursion into the vast realms of unmatched beauty and emotional triumph. The record’s theme revolves around an old whaling station in Chile and the extermination of whales. Bauda carefully uses melody and tension to replicate the emotions created by the lyrics and theme in this very cinematic album.
Steven Wilson has announced a slew of new solo tour dates in support of his upcoming album, The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories), which will be released on February 25th. This extensive touring schedule sees Steven traveling through the UK, Europe, North America and Mexico. Check out the full schedule below.
Norma Jean have been in the studio since December working on their sixth studio album with producer Joshua Barber. To please ravenous fans, the band released a new song a few day ago. I think. The track is called “AHH! SHARK BITE! AHH!” and it is merely six seconds long. Norma Jean are obviously just playing around but in all seriousness, I really hope this ends up on the new record. It’s actually pretty awesome. Check it out below.
