Denver nihilistic doom outfit, Primitive Man, have released a music video of sorts for their song “Rags”. The song of course comes from the band’s stellar debut full length, Scorn. The video is a repetitive collection of very disturbing images flashing on screen at high speeds. If you have epilepsy, please do not watch this. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. Brooklyn Vegan is currently streaming the title track from Tomahawk’s upcoming record, Oddfellows, which is out on the 29th! The track is trippy and angular and a little Jesus Lizard-esque. Polish grindcore outfit Antigama have officially entered the studio to record their sixth full length record with producer Pawel “Janos” Grabowski. The band has titled the upcoming record Meteor and according to guitarist Sebastian Rokicki it is “going to be the most mature, and at the same time most diverse album in the band’s whole career”. This will be their first full length since 2009′s Warning and follow up to last year’s Stop the Chaos EP. This will also be the first Antigama album to not feature bassist Szymon Czech, who past away from illness in November of last year. The band will be playing a memorial show to him in Olsztyn, Poland at the Andergrant, on January 26th alongside Third Degree, Prophecy, and more.
Meteor will be released this Spring via Selfmadegod.

I do not know for sure but this New Jersey quartet whip up some tasty sludge-chowder on their new full length, I Versus the Glacier. Who doesn’t love The Chariot? I mean, I know I do. There is a perfectly sound reason why One Wing didn’t land on my year-end list in 2012: I listened and listened, but I couldn’t completely take in the album. One Wing is amazing and I see that now. If you listened to One Wing, you know that the albums first track “Forget” is especially powerful. It’s hard hitting and aggressive and it rules. Tom Wait’s bellowing, cantankerous voice is accompanied by Keith Richards on this little ballad for the upcoming Son of Rogues Gallery, a follow up to 2006′s Rogue Gallery. Tom and Keith’s cover of the classic folk song/sea chantey “Shenandoah” will be featured on this upcoming two disc collections of “pirate ballads, sea songs and chanteys”, which was curated by actor Johnny Depp and Pirates of the Carribean director, Gore Verbinski. Along with Tom Waits, the compilation will see many contributions from artists like Iggy Pop and a Hawk and a Hacksaw, Frank Zappa, Patti Smith and Johnny Depp, Broken Social Scene, Michael Gira of Swans and more! Circa Survive have officially announced the full touring schedule of their upcoming co-headlining trek with Minus the Bear.
