The quirky trio, Tera Melos, have released the juicy details on their upcoming record. The record has been assigned the title X’ed Out and will feature twelve new tracks that show the band traveling in a slightly different direction stylistic wise. Guitarist and vocalist Nick Reinhardt comments on the band’s sound this time around:
I’d initially wanted to make a really simple and minimal record…But our minds wander way too much, so when the songs came to life, they raged a little more than expected. In the process, it became clear that to move forward we needed to think less.
Drummer John Clardy agrees and comments:
We’re not trying to bludgeon people over their heads with technicality. It’s more deceptively simple.
The record will be officially released on April 16th via Sargent House digitally and on LP and CD formats. Digital pre-orders are available at this location.

Now onto the good stuff! You may remember me posting about Tera Melos performing the new track “Slimed” on Cock and Bull TV. Well now you can your first official taste of new RECORDED Tera Melos music in the form of “Tropic Lame” over at Rolling Stone. This track reminds me of the more melodic moments on Patagonian Rats combined into one quirky, joyful sounding track with plenty of noisy eccentricities and humorous lyrics. You can stream that track below. I hope you are all excited for this record as I am!
