KEN Mode have released yet ANOTHER new track from their upcoming record, Entrench, which comes out on March 19th. We’ve heard “Counter Culture Complex”, “The Promises of God”, “The Terror Pulse”, and now NPR gives us the new track “Your Heartwarming Story Makes Me Sick”. This track is angular and all over the place in true chaotic hardcore fashion. Regarding the track, frontman Jesse Matthewson had this to say:

This particular song is almost a cliche in itself, in that it pokes fun at both the classic cookie cutter, worker-bee, pie in the sky dream and some of said people’s views on anyone who thinks outside of said paradigm, and the melodramatic antithesis of the counter culture rebel. Musically, I wanted to hear Kittens if they were a hardcore band with breakdowns. Throw your cowboy hat into the pit and get wild.

Jesus, all of the songs they have released so far have been absolutely crushing in my opinion. I cannot wait for this thing. Do yourself a favor and pre-order Entrench now.
