The Gnar and Carnage Done (FAQ)

ABOUT THE GNAR

Who is American Aftermath?
After more than a year of reporting the news on your favorite bands, American Aftermath has expanded quite a bit. Starting off with Ross Gnarly alone, soon Josh and Lane were added. A short time later, Bari was added followed by Kenzo and Rick. We take pride in our writing and we aim to please as many people as we possibly can.

American Aftermath is a completely non-profit organization, but we do accept donations to help with the upkeep of the site, future merchandise and helping to upgrade and improve the website. You know the saying “any little bit helps?” Well, that applies here. To inquire about donations, contact Ross Gnarly at
AMERICANAFTERMATH@MSN.COM
or

FAQ

Will you promote my band?
To the best of my ability we will. Please be aware that we are very honest. If we are not into you’re band, we will not promote it.

Will you write a review for my band’s album?
Absolutely. E-mail any of our writers with links to the albums or to inquire about sending physical copies. See the side bar under [AMERICAN AFTERMATH IS] for e-mail addresses and we can discuss how to get your demo/album to us. Beware because we will be honest. If we don’t like it, we will say so.

When sending albums for review or promotion, please follow these guidelines:

  • In the subject line put “Submission – BAND NAME – ALBUM NAME”
  • If possible, send a short bio on the band. It helps me have something to post about.
  • I prefer Mediafire.com for uploads, but Megaupload and Rapidshare are fine.

Can you help me/my band get a record contract?
No, I cannot. I am not a record executive. I deal solely with the PR department on most occasions. For a recording contract, you would need to visit a label’s website and see their details about demo submission.

Can you give me an e-mail for a band?
No. We will not divulge ANY information on any of the bands or anyone else we work with. Don’t bother asking. To contact bands, go through Facebook pages and Label websites.

Can you send me your promo albums?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. That is a HUGE no-no. All promos nowadays are digital and those are watermarked. We will NEVER send out promotional materials that are not for contests or giveaways.
