This year has been more than gracious to my ears. I was fond of so many releases in 2012 that it was like pulling teeth trying to narrow this list down to JUST thirty. Since albums have the tendency to grow on me, this list was compiled without review ratings in mind, if I had a chance to review them that is. These thirty albums are the records that I continued to revisit throughout the year and have yet to stop jamming. These are the records that are still fresh and exciting upon the umpteenth listen. Without further adieu, these are my favorite albums of the year.
It’s currently July which means that 2012 is half way over. Just like any other run of the mill music blogger, I want to share with you the releases that have stuck with me for the past 6 months. So far, 2012 has brought me a plethora of good music but these few releases below have not been able to release their grip on me. In fact, some of these records grew on me quite a bit. I could go into detail on why I loved this releases but since I am lazy today, I’ll let the songs speak for themselves. Check them out and tell me what you think:
This was my first time to see Dead In The Dirt and I honestly wasn’t super impressed. I don’t know if it was the shitty sound, the generic riffs, or all the holier than thou SXE/Vegan preaching shit, but whatever it was I wasn’t feeling it. It kind of sucked cause I had decent hopes for them. I liked their album “FEAR” on wax though. Oh well, above is a video of Dead In The Dirt performing Burden Of Life during the Thrasher Death Match showcase at the Scoot Inn.
