I’ve never wanted to live in Tennessee until now. The 2013 Scion Rock Fest will be held on June 1st of this year in Memphis and the lineup that has been revealed is just orgasmic. Those attending will get to see the likes of the Melvins, Testament, The Causalities, Code Orange Kids, A Life Once Lost, Gigan and many more. Everyone’s favorite Japanese trio, Boris, have announced a new US tour that will begin in late April. What’s special about this tour is that starting on May 1st, the band will be performing “residency” shows in which Boris will play the same city two nights in a row with two different sets. The first night will be an anthology of sorts; featuring songs that span the band’s career as well as new ones. The second night will be a performance of their “cult classic” Flood album as well as a noise/drone set. Check out the tour dates below and be on the lookout for Boris’ new record, Präparat, on March 6th.

Circa Survive have officially announced the full touring schedule of their upcoming co-headlining trek with Minus the Bear. The upcoming North American tour, dubbed the Waves Overhead Tour, will span the length of the month of March and will feature opening band Now, Now. Both band’s have put out solid releases this year (Violent Waves and Infinity Overhead) and I urge you to check them out. Peep all the tour dates below.

According to a recent Facebook update, Converge will be lining up several releases this year. The band intends to release a Live on BBC Radio EP, a new DVD/Film project, a vinyl reissue of Caring & Killing through Hydra Head and much more. The doomy songstress, Chelsea Wolfe, has announced a new winter U.S. tour that will kick off in San Francisco in early January. She will be accompanied by occult folk purveyor King Dude from January 11th through January 26th as shown on the tour poster above. Then Chelsea will continue her acoustic centered tour through February 8th. Also, the upcoming split between Chelsea and Dude is supposedly going to be available at the shows. So be sure to flock to the merch table as soon as you get to the venue. Here is how the tour will run:

According to Blabbermouth, the legendary Carcass are rumored to be putting the finishing touches on their first LP in 17 years. Long time active members, guitarist Bill Steer and bassist/vocalist Jeff Walker are reportedly recording the effort with producer Colin Richardson (Slipknot, Machine Head). Carcass have been working with drummer Matthias Voight (Heaven Shall burn) in the studio as well and are eyeing a 2013 release for the record. The group has set to secure a label home however.

The shitty Buffalo dudes and the chug masters will see support from Vanna, Hundredth and No Bragging Rights. According to the band’s Facebook page, The Bronx are eyeing a January 2013 release for a new full length record. No other details have been released so far but I promise you that it is not a Mariachi El Bronx record(which aren’t bad to be honest). It’s the good ol’ punk Bronx you all know and love.
