Technical death metal horde Abiotic will be unleashing their new album Casulstry in April and the band is already building up intensity. Abiotic has unloaded a new track titled “Cast Into The Depths” and as if that wasn’t enough, the track features guest vocals by Dying Fetus frontman John Gallagher. Fuck. That’s a devastating track. Check it out, along with the album details, below. Continue reading
Atmospheric death metallers Fallujah have announced a string of Pacific Northwest U.S. tour dates in support of their most recent, well-received record, The Flesh Prevails. The nine-date trek will see support from Canadian tech death metal outfit Archspire and will precede Fallujah’s extensive European tour with Dying Fetus, Goatwhore and and Malevolence. You can check all of those dates after the break.
In addition to their upcoming tour with Dying Fetus, the band also revealed the
dirty bloody details on their forthcoming album. The new album has been assigned the title Necrocracy and will see a release on August 6th in North American, August 2nd in Germany/Benelux, and August 5th in the UK and beyond. Necrocracy will carry the following track listing:
As promised, Dying Fetus have announced their new North American that will commence this October. The slamming death-metallers will be supported by the likes of Exhumed, Devourment, Waking the Cadaver, Rivers of Nihil and Abiotic. Dates for the trek are as follows:
Canada, prepare to have your ears pounded into submission by the jams of slamming death metal titans Dying Fetus. The band will be travelling to Canada this Fall for a handful of shows that begin in late August. A full North American tour is reportedly also in the works. Canadian readers, please go to one of these shows.
Death metal veterans Dying Fetus have hooked up with the gore loving freaks over at Bloodydisgusting.com to create a new video for the song “Second Skin” off their latest Relapse release, Reign Supreme. The theme from this NSFW video sort of reminds me of watching the band live and Saw and Jeepers Creepers all at the same time. Although this is the most visually brutal Dying Fetus video, it’s by far the most tame that Bloodydisgusting has produced.
It’s a great song but the video was a little boring. You can watch this slammin’ (i love using 90’s terminology) video after the jump – Continue reading
Similar to the conflicted state of mind the character Jules Winnfield Of Pulp Fiction was in when he decided not to execute the characters of Honey Bunny and Ringo like “fucking fried chicken”, my American Aftermath writership came at a period in my life of transition, a time of both fleeting and returning tastes. In short, my idea of “music” was flipped upside down. What was once a streamlined process of music listening and discovery was overloaded and overridden by my previous months exploration into a multitude of realms and genres previously unexplored, most notable among that being my new found discovery of hardcore and the cascading effects of that discovery, which led to realms from sludge metal to pop punk.
The following thirty album list reflects the few difficultly chosen releases that stuck with me the most throughout both the bombarding ocean of releases this year and the aforementioned musical overturn. Before we actually begin, I’d like to thank the American Aftermath crew especially Ross Gnarly, Lane Oliver, and Josh Huddleston for allowing me to be a part of their team. I would also like to thank the musicians and bands that have created music for me to write about and those that have helped out in interviews and features. Last but not least I want to thank you, the readers, for giving a shit. See you all after the jump.

A lot of people have been anticipating Dying Fetus‘ new album Reign Supreme. I have been wondering about it myself, but I have never been a huge Dying Fetus fan. As I type this I am currently streaming the bands new album over at MetalSucks and it’s not bad at all. I have had this album lying around for some time now, but I haven’t gotten around to checking it out. So if you’re interested, the album is streaming over here and you can purchase the album right here.
Editors Note: Apparently Lane posted about this as I was typing it.
In other Fetus news, the band recently released a new music video for the new track “From Womb To Waste.” You can check that out below. Enjoy.
