It’s October and we here at American Aftermath are going to be doing something special for you. Every single day of this month we will be posting a song that will shock, scare or flat out terrify you. We all love this month and these posts will show you what kind of tunes we listen to when we need to send a chill down our spine. Whether it be metal or not, these are all songs that we love and we hope you love or hate this. ~R. Gnarly//Dig It or Die.
Okay, I am going to go ahead and apologize for the lack of posts today. Right about the time that this post goes up, I will be attending the funeral of a close family friend. I will go into no details. It is a somber morning, so I figured Funeral Mourning couldn’t be more fitting. That is all.
Well, it’s Sunday again. You know what that means! Black Metal Sunday! Last Sunday I didn’t do this because I dedicated my playlist to Seth Putnam. This week, I am going back to what I usually do on Sundays: listen to black metal and work. By work, I mean I have a real job that sucks, but it pays me. Anyway, this weeks playlist is pretty good mix of old and new black metal that I have been listening to a lot. Should be a good, evil day. I also don’t feel like typing out descriptions of the songs, but I’m pretty sure you’ll get the idea. Sit back and listen, motherfucker.

I found this band last night while listening to Xasthur on YouTube. Immediately I feel in love. Misanthropic, depressing black metal from Australia. I listened to this band for an hour last night and I loved every minute of it. If you like dark, dooming black metal, this might just be the band for you! Unfortunately, Funeral Mourning called it quits after releasing a split in 2007. Their only full-lenth, Drown In Solitude came out in 2006 and it is funeral doomtastic. Get that shit!
