Integrity are one of the forerunners of hardcore. They have lived as one of America’s most damaging hardcore acts for quite some time and every time the band releases new music, there is nothing but extraordinary response. If you’re not a fan of Integrity, please pass this post and continue on. Continue reading

Full Of Hell’s long-awaited sophomore LP comes this upcoming May through A389 Recordings in the form of Rudiments Of Mutilation. Again recorded with Kevin Bernstein at Developing Nations, Rudiments Of Mutilation is to be the group’s most refined and varied effort to date, integrating more of a grindcore and experimental noise approach to their already variable sound. The four-piece audio terrorists are also set to tour from March throughout early June with dates with Homewrecker, Gehenna, and Integrity as well as appearances at Invisible Orange’s SXSW showcase, Maryland Deathfest and Chaos In Tejas. Peep the full tour schedule courtesy of Invisible Oranges as well as a full live set filmed by Sunny Singh(hate5six) and featuring two new songs(the first around the 6:00 minute mark and the second around the 16:00 minute mark) all below. Bland is the bastard. Continue reading
Last weekend, record label A389 held their annual weekend long hardcore festival in Baltimore, Maryland. The festival is usually a pretty notable show that combines a mixture of classic hardcore bands with current up and comers. This year the fest featured performances from the likes of Integrity, Full Of Hell, Like Rats, Weekend Nachos and several other artists.
For those of you who aren’t luck enough to live on the east coast, the incredible Metal Nick was there to capture a lot of the mayhem. Posted above is a sweet bootleg of Despise You ripping shit up. To view more Despise You as well as footage of Weekend Nachos and Like Rats continue after the jump. Continue reading
Based God Dom Romeo delivers once again. If you’re anywhere near the East Coast come 2013, you’d be a fool for missing out on this historic event. Come January 18th and 19th 2013, legendary heavy hitters Left For Dead and Catharsis reunite for two days chock full of powerviolence, hardcore, and blasphemy whilst assisted by the likes of Integrity, Full of Hell, Weekend Nachos, Despise You, Lack of Interest, Gehenna and more. Unfortunately, while pre-sale weekend passes via A389 have been sold out(The awesome A389 labor day weekend store sale is still ongoing!), individual day passes may be purchased here come September 7th. Be quick though, this show WILL sell out! By the fucking power of Greyskull, expect violence.
Gehenna, also known as The Infamous… Gehenna, is a band that I fell in love with last year. They’re filthy as fuck and extremely hard to categorize. Their music is raw and punishing with elements of black metal, crust, sludge and… I’m not even sure what else. The band is working on a split with the legendary Integrity, which will be released on Holy Terror Records later this year and they are now streaming a new song from the 7″ called “Amphetamine Psychosis.” This track is evil and brooding and I fucking love it. The recording quality is horrid, but that is what makes Gehenna who they are. Stream the song below and understand for yourself.
I love Summer. Summer is usually a slow time for us metal bloggers because all of the major bands are out on tour or doing festivals. There isn’t a lot happening unless their is some major inter-band drama. When this time of year rolls around however, there is something pretty gnarly to get excited about: Summer Samplers from record labels!
So far there have been three killer Summer samplers released by three pretty stellar labels, A389 Recordings, Century Media Records and Deathwish, Inc. I love bands on all of these labels, so I am definitely going to grab these up. You can read a little about each sampler after the jump, as well as get the download links. [Continue...]
Well, here is the final set of photo galleries from the A389 VIII Anniversary Bash which happened this past Saturday. These galleries were once again shot by Maclyn Bean and feature Magrudergrind, Integrity and Eyehategod. Click on after the jump for the galleries. [Continue...]
