In an interview posted yesterday on Blabbermouth, ex-Obscura bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling cleared up his departure from the band. A few weeks ago Josh posted about Jeroen quitting Obscura due to “scheduling conflicts.” Since then, we have been curious as to who would be taking his place in Obscura and whether this would interfere with his work in Pestilence.
Well, the interview conducted by Blabbermouth with the epic bass player brought a lot of things to light about the situation such as the fact that Jeroen actually announced his departure back in April via e-mail to the band. The reasoning behind Jeroen quitting was the fact that touring wasn’t paying the bills anymore and he had been forced to take up an actual job.
