East of the Wall debuted some new songs on the road last month and luckily fan-filmed footage has surfaced on the web. Below you will find footage of the band performing two new songs during their respective shows in New York and New Jersey in April. The band plan to enter Trax East on May 27th to record their new full length Redaction Artifacts. Translation Loss should have the record out in late October.

According to a recent interview, Norma Jean frontman Cory Brandan reveals that the band have pretty ambitious plans this year. Other than the new full length they are working on now, Norma Jean are planning to write and record another full length live in one week and write and record an EP in 24 hours and film the process. This is what the interview revealed about the upcoming efforts:

According to Consequence of Sound, Sigur Ros have been performing new material live recently. These new songs are being referred to as “Kveikur”, “Yfirborð”, and “Hrafntinna” and footage of each of these tracks can be viewed below. These songs will be featured on the follow upa lbum to Valtari that is due out later this year. This will be the first record not to feature multi-instrumentalist Kjartan Sveinsson, who left the band earlier this year. Check out the live footage and their upcoming tour schedule below.

It looks like Intronaut have been jamming some new songs from their upcoming album, Habitual Levitations, live recently. Fan filmed footage from their shows in Austin, TX and Pensacola, FL captured the band performing songs “Sore Sight for Eyes”, “The Welding” and “Steps”. These songs sound really solid and hopefully hint at an equally solid album. Check out the footage below and pick up Habitual Levitations on March 19th.

In case you didn’t know, Hurricane Sandy wiped out Brooklyn’s Translator Audio Studios (Cave In, Daughters, etc). To help raise money for its inevitable restoration, Cave In have released a three track live effort that can be purchased at this location. These three tracks (“Anchor”, “Dark Driving”, “Joy Opposites”) were recorded on an off-day during their 2002 tour with Foo Fighters and was originally broadcast Steve Lamacq show. Pick up the three song set now or donate to Translator Audio here.

Live footage has surfaced of KEN mode playing a new song in Montreal earlier this month. The track is reportedly entitled “No; I’m in Control” and it sounds extremely punishing. Look at that double bass action! The track will appear on the groups forthcoming album Entrench. Release details are still pending for that record but to pump you up for it, check out the video below.

This year at Fun Fun Fun fest in Austin, TX, I was able to catch Torche’s awesome set where they broke out a brand new song. The song was extremely heavy, groove based, and had massive amounts of distortion and low end. It was one of the heaviest songs I have heard this band create. Luckily, someone filmed this event and uploaded it online. You can check that out below. Also, the band played another heavy, ball busted in Meza, AZ last month and fan filmed footage caught that as well. It looks like the next Torche album may be the heaviest thing they have ever written. Check out both of those new songs below.

Live footage of Bird Eater’s (Gaza, etc) entire set at The Shred Shed in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 1st has surfaced online. The set features the band performing some new material that will be featured on the band’s upcoming record, which is untitled and has no release date as of yet. The audio gets a little out of sync sometimes but you get the jist of the songs. From what my feeble ears can hear, these songs are hard hitting and just brutal. Fan filmed footage of Tomahawk’s entire set at the Exit/In in Nashville, TN on October 27th captured the band debuting new material from their upcoming record, Oddfellows. New songs include “Oddfellows”, “Baby Let’s Play”, “White Hats” and of course the new single “Stone Letter”. The songs sound fantastic and varied and amplify my desire to get my hands on this record. The band also closes their set with covers of Bad Brains’ tracks “Pay to Cum” and “How Low Can a Punk Get”. You can check out the entire set below.
Oddfellows will be released on January 29th.

Stray From the Path have been jamming out to a new song live lately. Fan filmed footage of their show in Indianapolis, IN earlier this month captured the band performing the new track entitled “Landmines”. It is no secret that these guys are fans of Rage Against the Machine and this new track shows the bleeding of Rage-esque sounds into their music. “Landmines” is a very groove heavy, funk laden track featuring rapid fire vocal delivery in the vein of Rage’s Zach de la Rocha. The band were in studio recently tracking a new single but no word yet if “Landmines” was in fact that single. Check out the performance below.

Fan filmed footage captured post-hardcore band Letlive. performing a new untitled song in Minneapolis, MN this past Saturday. The band give it their all in this catchy and pummeling “punk rock song”. The band apparently have new record coming out next year according to vocalist Jason Butler in the video. No further details have been released so far. Check out the video below and be sure to catch these guys on tour.

This isn’t the first time Muse have jammed the main riff to Deftones’ “Headup” live, but it is always awesome seeing them do it. This new clip comes from Muse’s show in Nantes, France today. Fan filmed footage captured the final moments of their song “New Born” and the “Headup” jam session. You can view the footage directly below.
Muse’s The 2nd Law is out now and Deftones’ Koi No Yokan is out on November 13th.
