SUNN O))) Releases Live Archives Of Fan Recordings


Sunn O))) have released a ton of live unmixed and unmastered fan and taper audience recordings for streaming and downloading purposes. These recordings span from their 2002 Portland show at Blackbird to their most recent headlining show at Temples Festival in Bristol, UK, this year. The band offered the following comments:

SUNN O))) live archives. Unmixed, unmastered raw footage grabbed by underground tapers which we now present to you.

We would like to invite you to also submit your own recordings of any of our concerts (even ones already posted) to this archive. If you have photos and visuals from the posted shows, please send them too. Hail to our great fans!”

Footage has surfaced on the web of The Body and Thou covering Nine Inch Nails during their set at Gilead Fest in Oshkosh, Wisconsin last month. The band closed their set with a doom-laden, noisy rendition of the classic NIN track “Terrible Lie”. You can check out the performance after the break.

The new, spastic track is apparently titled “This Should Hurt a Little Bit” and will be apart of the new 7″ split between the band and Narrows (Botch, etc), which is due out later this year via ThreeOneG. CLUTCH Perform New Song Live

It looks as if Clutch have been trying out some new material during their UK/Ireland tour. Fan filmed footage captured the band performing a new song entitled “Sidewinder” during their show at The Liquid Room in Edinburgh earlier this month. You can check out the performance after the break.

The band is  reportedly working on their 11th full length album. No word yet on when to expect it.

ANIMALS AS LEADERS Perform New Song Live

Fan-filmed footage captured Animals as Leaders performing a new song this past Friday, January 31st, in Brisbane, Australia. The track sounds pretty solid from what I can discern. You can watch the performance after the break.

Animals as Leaders’ third full length album has been given a tentative March release date through Sumerian Records. No official details have been released just yet. The band will be embarking on an album release tour with After the Burial, Chon, and Navene K later this month. You can view the tour dates after the break as well.

Young Widows recently debuted their forthcoming fourth full length, Easy Pain, live on January 26th (St. Vitus, Brooklyn) and 28th (Boot & Saddle, Philadelphia). The Fall of Troy recently completed their trio of reunion shows in Austin, TX late last month in which each night they played one of their first three full length albums. EVERY TIME I DIE Perform New Song Live

Footage of Every Time I Die performing a new song during their show at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA this past Tuesday,  December 3rd, has surfaced online. The song bears the title “Thirst” and from what I can gather from the video, it rips. The song only lasts a little over a minute before the band lead right into playing “A Wild, Shameless Plain”. The band is reportedly writing their seventh studio album.

PELICAN Perform New Song At Maryland Death Fest

Fan filmed footage captured the instrumental metal titans Pelican performing a new song at this past weekend’s Maryland Death Fest in Baltimore, MD. The audio quality of the following video isn’t the best but it is good enough for you to get the gist of this sludgy, brooding beast. The band plan to enter Trax East on May 27th to record their new full length Redaction Artifacts. Translation Loss should have the record out in late October.
