Tomahawk have announced a handful of East Coast tour dates in June in support of their new record, Oddfellows. Tickets for these shows will become available for purchase this weekend. Also, two songs the band performed live in in Los Angeles, CA, have been recorded and will air on Live With Carson Daly on February 27th. Check out the dates and the video for “Oddfellows” below.

The wait is finally over! A stream of Tomahawk’s (Faith No More, The Jesus Lizard, etc) upcoming record, Oddfellows, is now available over at Spin.com. The record is stripped down, heavy and quirky in all the right places, and oh so satisfying. The album officially comes out on the 29th but you can spoil it for yourself now! Brooklyn Vegan is currently streaming the title track from Tomahawk’s upcoming record, Oddfellows, which is out on the 29th! The track is trippy and angular and a little Jesus Lizard-esque. Fan filmed footage of Tomahawk’s entire set at the Exit/In in Nashville, TN on October 27th captured the band debuting new material from their upcoming record, Oddfellows. New songs include “Oddfellows”, “Baby Let’s Play”, “White Hats” and of course the new single “Stone Letter”. The songs sound fantastic and varied and amplify my desire to get my hands on this record. The band also closes their set with covers of Bad Brains’ tracks “Pay to Cum” and “How Low Can a Punk Get”. You can check out the entire set below.

The long awaited new record from Tomahawk, Oddfellows, is slated to be released on January 29th via Ipecac. In a recent interview, guitarist and founder Duane Denison (also of The Jesus Lizard) opened up on the sound of the upcoming record. Here is what he had to say:

Tomahawk (Faith No More, ex-Jesus Lizard, etc) has released the first single from their upcoming record Oddfellows, which will see a release date on January 29th. The track is called “Stone Letter” and it is a pretty catchy, poppy rock song featuring Mike Patton’s more lower vocal work. I was hoping for something with a little more zest but this is good for what it is. The 7″ pressing of the single will be released on November 23rd as a part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday event and a digital single will follow on December 4th. Check out the track below.

You may remember me posting a while back that Tomahawk was reportedly working on new material. Well, the Mike Patton fronted outfit has released an album trailer for their upcoming release entitled Oddfellows.The forty second teaser doesn’t offer a whole lot besides a peak at a funky jam and a vague release date of “Fall 2012″. But at any rate I am totally excited and I am sure you are all jizzing yourselves right now.
