Oh Rage Against The Machine, you bring back a lot of fond memories. I have been in love with this band since the late ’90s and remain a fan to this day. A while back Lane posted about the release of Rage‘s 20th Anniversary Remastered Rage Against The Machine album and now it is available for your listening pleasure. Stray From the Path have been jamming out to a new song live lately. Fan filmed footage of their show in Indianapolis, IN earlier this month captured the band performing the new track entitled “Landmines”. It is no secret that these guys are fans of Rage Against the Machine and this new track shows the bleeding of Rage-esque sounds into their music. “Landmines” is a very groove heavy, funk laden track featuring rapid fire vocal delivery in the vein of Rage’s Zach de la Rocha. The band were in studio recently tracking a new single but no word yet if “Landmines” was in fact that single. Check out the performance below.

You all know how big a fan I am of cover songs, whether they are done well or not. I fucking love covers. It’s one of my favorite things in music, so when I hear about a band covering a track that I love, I get pretty pumped. This is the case for Stray From The Path‘s newly released cover of Rage Against The Machine‘s “Vietnow.” I love the original version of this track and pretty much everything Rage ever did and I think Stray From The Path really do this track justice. Check out the cover below and according to YouTube, the band will be posting another cover next week. Should be interesting.
Here is your playlist for tonight you lovely little critters.
Here’s a new little series I am trying out. Ross has his morning series that features a specific band for you guys to jam out to. So, I figured we should have a night version of that. But instead of a specific band, I will put my music library on shuffle and pick the first ten songs. Genre does not matter. So, here is your playlist for tonight.
