Influential New York hardcore act Sick of It All have announced the release of their 10th studio album. The new record, entitled The Last Act of Defiance, will be released through Century Media on September 29th (Europe/Australia/New Zealand) and September 30th (North America). Drummer Armand Majidi commented on the forthcoming record, saying that he wanted listeners to “feel that they just heard a hardcore record that has everything, from blistering speed to bouncing groove, to heavy and pounding to bright and melodic.” The upcoming album’s artwork and track listing can be seen below.
SICK OF IT ALL have begun writing songs for their new album which is scheduled for release this fall via Century Media Records. Once again the band will be teaming up with Tue Madsen for what they describe as a “straight up old school New York Hardcore record.”
Suicidal Tendencies have announced the initial dates for their upcoming “Slam City Tour” in the Spring. The first leg of the tour will see the band supported by punk legends D.R.I. and Sick of it All on select dates. The band, however, have yet to announce the supporters on the first four dates of the tour. We should expect to see that information surface soon. Also, the band have apparently been working on a new release that is supposed to see the light of day in March. So keep it an eye out for that. Check out the touring schedule below.
In celebration of their 10th anniversary, legendary metallic hardcore group, First Blood, are set to release a free covers album as a tribute to the many bands that have paved the way and inspired them. With the promise of even more covers to come, the following bands have been confirmed to be covered: Hatebreed, Sick Of It All, Earth Crisis, Agnostic Front, Madball, All Out War, Biohazard, and Suicidal Tendencies.
