The strange Los Angeles metallic hardcore ensemble Twitching Tongues are currently streaming a new “live” album entitled World War Live exclusively over at Decibel Magazine. Recorded live with an audience of twenty sum members, the dichotomous fake/real record(with art by Sean Taggart (Crumbsuckers, Agnostic Front)) simultaneously functions as a best-of album for the group with jokes, cameos and easter eggs that followers of California hardcore will be able to pick out. The band’s official statement for the record is as follows:
Recorded live in the Van Nuys stadium called THE PIT in front of twenty screaming fans, this is (not) a true testament to the event that occurs when this band hits the stage. The band was tired of hearing “they’re better live,” so here it is. With a setlist comprised mostly of songs from their latest LP, In Love There Is No Law, as well as previous material, the record almost doubles as a best-of the band’s current stage. The album cover was made by the legendary Sean Taggart (Carnivore, Crumbsuckers, Agnostic Front) and hardcopy buyers will regret their purchases slightly less with the addition of bonus material.
Out of the fucking blue, Massachusetts brooding hardcore act Hoax have released their debut full length LP alongside the onset of a currently ongoing month-long tour, which kicked off last Wednesday in New York City. Stream the record below, download it free here, and purchase the vinyl including poster artwork from over 14 underground artists here. Video for the NYC Record Release Show last Wednesday as well as complete tour details are also available below. May the microphone have mercy upon the singer’s forehead.
