So, I found out about The Drip a good long while back and I have grown to absolutely love these dudes and their music. The Drip are a grinding whallop packed like a bowl with hatred and intensity. The band is preparing for the release of their new EP, which also stands as the bands Relapse debut, of which I am beyond stoked to be premiering here today. To go along with the stream, I caught up with guitarist and homie Bobby Mansfield for a few questions. Check it out after the jump where you can also stream A Presentation Of Gruesome Poetics. Continue reading →

If you think back, not too long ago mi amigos in The Drip sent me a live clip of them playing a new song called Mother of All Bastards and now they have sent me another. This track is a brutally fast, aggressive and fully pissed monster named “Extinction Imminent (Anti-Human Propaganda.” This track is sooo good that it is almost insane. Check out the clip below and stay tuned for more info on The Drip’s new material. Hopefully we’ll have more exciting information soon! Enjoy.
My homeboys in The Drip have been working on new material for a while now and recently, while playing alongside Clinging To The Trees of a Forest Fire, premiered some of their new material live. The Drip’s guitarist Bobby sent me a video of a fucking amazing new track called “Mother of All Bastards.” This song is just under two minutes of brutal grinding madness. Vocalist Brandon sounds like a beast. This track is extremely well executed and is an all-around melee of grinding insanity. Check out the track below and keep your eyes peeled for more new material from The Drip.
I try to keep in touch with the bands I work with. Recently my buddy Arif from the amazing Singaporean grindbeast Wormrot finished working on new artwork for fellow grinders Maruta. Wait, you didn’t know Arif was an artist? Where the hell have you been? Arif is absolutely amazing when it comes to art (of all forms). So while he’s not screaming like an banshee with Wormrot, he’s usually got a pencil/pen in hand. Arif has done art for bands like The Drip (who I have raved about and also share a friendship with), Finnish grinders Gaf, the already mentioned Maruta and his own brand, Rotworks. After the jump you can see a few pieces of Arif work. If you’d like artwork done by Arif, you can contact him through his Tumblr page. Arif is currently working on a (I believe) tour exclusive shirt for Magrudergrind. [Continue Reading]
The Drip are a grind outfit from Richland, Washington that was formed in 2007. I have boasted about this band a few times on here already and I just wanted to write yet another piece on them. The Drip’s music is fast, punishing and brutal. They play a super aggressive style of grindcore that borders on out of control. With song titles like “Fuck Yuppie Scum,” “Genocidal Tendencies” and “Pound It Dry, Watch Her Cry” how can you not be enticed to listen to this band? This band was suggested to me by Wormrot vocalist Arif Rot a while back. I trust the dudes taste in grind and so I gave it a listen. What I heard was nothing less that a pure assault of pummeling grindcore. I befriended The Drip’s guitarist Bobby Mansfield and recently did a short Q&A with him. Here it is.
Grindcore, as a genre, has always been a very underground style of music. I was not even born when the idea of grindcore came about. And since then, nearly thirty years later, the genre is still pushing out amazing bands. True, the forefathers in Napalm Death, Brutal Truth and Nasum still reign supreme in grindcore, but none the less, budding bands from all over the world are experimenting and producing amazingly good extreme music.
Hello fellow Grinders. With the recent surge of amazing grindcore albums dropping this year such as Rotten Sound, Noisear and Wormrot (as well as many, many more), I have to also give props to the up-and-coming underground grind bands from all over the world. Every week I will be posting a few grind bands that I believe should be checked out. Lets start this off with…
