Nathan Williams of the indie surf pop band Wavves posted a download link on Twitter of an extremely lo-fi cover of the Misfits’ song “Hybrid Moments”. It’s a pretty interesting cover. Williams tweeted shortly after posting the song saying that he didn’t even tune his guitar. Follow the link above to check it out and check out the original below.

According to a recent retweet by Trash Talk, They will be releasing a 7″ split with indie band, Wavves. As of right now, there is not much information available on this release other than that it will be released on Record Store Day and is limited to 500 copies. Hipsters from two different scenes are cumming their pants because this is truly a match made in Pitchfork heaven. These bands are so different that I am wondering how it came out. I really admire Trash Talks willingness to work with any band, but I really wish they would have chose a different band this time around.
